The Compassionate Friends is an informal self-help support group of bereaved parents and siblings.
We meet together to learn to cope with the struggles of living life without our child. It helps to know more about the grief process and the various steps toward recovering.
We cannot take away the hurt, but we can help each other to live with the pain.
We welcome all bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents to our meetings.
Our meetings may include a brief program. General sharing is always included to allow people to express concerns and feelings, but no one needs to share unless he or she wishes to do so. There is no cost.
The chapter maintains a lending library of books and information on how to handle the grief and the various situations that occur when a child dies.
